VW Passat Tuning


VW launched the Passat back in 1973 that in the beginning came with two and four door family car. Later it came with other versions with three- and five-doors. Maybe it’s unusual for them, but at that time it was an ideal design for their quality engines. Toyota Passat was declared as car of the year for many reasons. At one hand it is family size car while at other it offers absolute driving pleasure. However, experts believe that Toyota Passat shares its platform with the A4. Though, you can modify any model from Toyota, but the perfect bet would be 130BHP or even higher.

A big car appears heavy and huge with a simple design but especially stylish and deluxe. Many years have passed since its first model was produced but surprisingly this car is still in demand. Certainly it’s not only for a specific exterior but also for its great engines and well rounded performance. In fact VW should be proud of such things.

The car is well driven by the most dominant engine in this model – a mighty 2, 8 liter V6. Its maximum output is 193 hp at 6000 rpm, a maximum speed is 238 km/ph and 0-100 acceleration within 7.8 seconds. Overall it can be of very good value if you recognize this car is 10 years old.

Let’s first talk about the mechanism changes that can be done in VW Passat. To help avoid traction loss when driving on slick surfaces, a Torsen AWD system can be utilized for this purpose. Power can be improved and turbocharged with diesel with a TDI engine which produces 135 PS. Best parts about this engine is that it utilizes diesel for fuel economy and its ability to operate with bio-fuels, an inexpensive alternative to gas. The bodywork of VW Passat comprises extensions under front and rear bumper, sills, rims, front grills, rear wing, eyebrows, door back mirrors, optical roof extension and exhaust tips.

For quite a big change let’s take a closer look. The front division was simple, but fancy changed by the new extension under the front bumper. The extension matches with the front bumper openings and also has three extended openings occupied with a black penetrated sheet. These openings are used like a décor and help to turn cold engine parts. Of course the final step is wheels. Three types of rims are available to fit into. In the first case you can have 19”chromed 5-spoked SMC design SV rims suitable for show-cars. Secondly, 18” 10-spoked Tomason TN1 rims are available. And finally 19” 15-spoked ASA ZR1 can be mounted. So you can choose the ones that best suit your taste and requirements.
